Method
  1. Use a citrus squeezer to extract the lemon juice.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  3. Add gin, maraschino liqueur, crème de violette, and lemon juice to the shaker.
  4. Shake well.
  5. Rim the serving glass with sugar and lemon juice.
  6. Strain the cocktail into a martini glass.
  7. Garnish with a twist of lemon zest.
